INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS    

IMPORTANT:

A poster board will only be reserved for you at the conference if you confirm your attendance by a reply e-mail and register for the conference.
Please reply by e-mail at the latest before 30th September, 2009 to: poster@iapad09-bahrain.org

PREPARING YOUR POSTER

Text on poster

  • Use a clear typeface and, if possible, a laser printer.
  • The poster should be readable from a distance of 2-3 meters. This means that all lettering should be legible from about 5 feet (1.5m) away. Text material should be approximately 24 points (1/4",0 .625cm).
  • All posters should feature a title, your name, the name of the institution where the research was performed and should credit others, as appropriate.

Graphs and diagrams

  • Graphs and figures should be readable from a distance of 2-3 meters.
  • They should be drawn with a minimum line width of 1 mm.

AT THE CONFERENCE
General Information

  • One poster board will be allocated for each poster presentation.
  • A printed number identifying each poster board will be provided.
  • Handouts of your abstract should be available for interested viewers.

Registration

  • Please remember to register for the conference in order to be allowed to make your presentation. You can register online on the current website. Register now.

Location

  • Posters will be presented in the Poster Area, which is located in the Exhibition area.

Poster Mounting

  • Posters should be mounted only with double sided tape which will be provided.
  • Assistance and material for mounting the posters will be available from set-up (see below), at the poster desk in the poster area.

Poster Viewing and Presentation

  • Posters will be on display in the poster area for three days and will be open for viewing during exhibition hours.
  • Poster authors are requested to be present at their poster during the entire presentation time of your topic, which will be announced in the final programme. During the Poster walks, an expert in the field will discuss posters in the same poster session, together with interested conference participants.
Removing your poster material
  • Material should be removed before 18.00 hours on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
  • If posters are not removed within the time for dismantling (see below), your poster will be removed and destroyed by the conference organizer.
Responsibility for poster presentations
